Collect less. Explain it clearly.
GetSeen only needs enough data to publish the league, verify payments, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate performance.
Data we process
- Submitted links, names, city and category choices, descriptions, and public click counts.
- Payment references and settlement status from the payment provider. Card or UPI credentials are not stored by GetSeen.
- An anonymous browser-session identifier, page path, referral page, and product interaction events used for first-party analytics.
- A one-way hash derived from network information for short-lived abuse rate limits. Raw network addresses are not placed in analytics events.
- Email address, city, and country when someone voluntarily joins the World City Cup interest list.
How it is used
We use this data to operate rankings, verify payments, count outbound visits, understand conversion steps, moderate submissions, prevent fraud, provide support, and improve the service. Waitlist details are used only for country-league demand analysis and relevant launch updates.
Public information
Listing details, city and category affiliation, season totals, and aggregate visit counts are intentionally public. Anonymous session identifiers and payment references are not displayed publicly.
Retention and requests
First-party analytics events are automatically removed after approximately 13 months, expired rate-limit records after 24 hours, and abandoned payment orders after 30 days. Payment and moderation records may be retained longer for legal, fraud-prevention, and audit needs. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@getseen.city. A waitlist subscriber can use the same address to request removal.
